STRONG — Police are investigating the theft of five guns from a home in Franklin County.
The Sun Journal reports that the house, located on a dead-end road in Strong, was left unoccupied.
Lt. David St. Laurent says the long-barreled guns are believed to have been stolen within the past four months. The burglary was reported April 28.
St. Laurent says the guns were taken from a gun safe. Deputy Nicholas Zecher responded to a report of vandalism and criminal mischief at the house the same day the guns were reported stolen. The vandalism is believed to have happened recently.
