Scarborough-based musician Dean Ford released the EP “Dream Fever” due out later this fall. It’s his first original release since 2015, and the first single is the lush, funky, dance pop tune “VHS.”
The making of “Dream Fever” included collaborating with Bleu, a songwriter and producer who was worked with Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez. Ford’s goal with the songs is to get people off of the couch and onto the dance floor. He’s done just that with “VHS.”
Ford is also known for his Prince tribute shows, and the next one, called Hallowdean, is at Aura on Oct. 29.
Here’s the lyric video for “VHS:”
