Harvest Fair appreciates support

To the editor,

St. David’s Episcopal Church would like to sincerely thank its parish family and friends, along with the community for their generosity in support of this year’s annual Harvest Fair.

The numerous donations of products, services, and gift cards from area boutiques, eateries, and specialty shops, along with the over 500 folks who came to shop, eat, and enjoy great camaraderie, are what makes our annual fair such a tremendous success.

A special thank you goes out to Kitchen Chicks, Cherie’s, Duffy’s, Village Tavern, and Mike’s American Diner for providing fabulous sandwiches and award-winning soups that were offered at bargain prices for lunch. Congdon’s generous offering of doughnuts were enjoyed by all who attended this wonderful event.

We hope all who came had as much fun as we did. See you next year.

Grateful for election support

To the editor,

I would like to express my gratitude to the people of Maine Senate District 32 – Arundel, Biddeford, Dayton, Hollis, and Lyman – for electing me to be your next state senator. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve all of you and the entire state of Maine.

I started my campaign over 11 months ago because I hoped this would be an opportunity to meet face to face with as many of my future constituents as possible. I got my wish, and met so many wonderful people. I was able to listen to your concerns, and I am looking forward to being a strong voice for the issues you spoke to me about: the high cost of home heating fuel, affordable and available housing, quality public education, climate change, and the right to clean water, air, and food for all.

As Mainers young and old, you expressed to me how much you love our community, and how you want to be able to afford to live and work here. You have given me an awesome responsibility to act on these issues we all face, and I will do my best.

I owe a special thank you to my partner and best friend Christine and my campaign coordinator Penny Gruen for standing with me every day of the campaign. Thank you also to the many, many volunteers who have worked so hard to get me elected – I am forever grateful.

Henry Ingwersen, senator-elect
