Your article on the mayor of Lewiston was quite upsetting. The mayor wants to put the “mark of Cain” on the poor. Isn’t it ironic that in the middle of the visit of Pope Francis – an advocate for the underclasses and refugees – has the mayor turning a deaf ear and hard heart to the disadvantaged.
With many of the factories in Lewiston closed down or partially in use, it is obvious that if they had jobs there, this would not be problem. Lastly as a taxpayer, I always want my tax money to help the less fortunate .
