PORTLAND – A fire on a deck outside a condominium was contained Thursday by city firefighters.
The fire was reported at 2:46 p.m. at 124 Winter St., in the city’s West End, said Deputy Fire Chief Bob Wassick.
When firefighters arrived they encountered a porch fire, which took several minutes to bring under control.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. A third-floor condominium sustained damage to its exterior wall.
