I recall that several months ago, Gov. LePage indicated he had inside knowledge of a large southern Maine company that was going to be laying off a significant number of employees, but he was “sworn to secrecy” and couldn’t identify the company.
It appears that all that statement accomplished was to create angst among a significant number of employees against a backdrop of job losses in the paper industry. A jab at the southern Maine elite?
