LD 156 - An Amendment to the Constitution of Maine Concerning Early Voting and Voting by Absentee Ballot
This bill, sponsored by Rep. Michael Shaw, D-Standish, would change the Maine Constitution by directing the Legislature to create a system for allowing in-person voting before Election Day. As a constitutional amendment, it requires a two-thirds vote by both houses of the Legislature and a majority vote by Maine residents in a referendum in November.
