Portland building permits issued from late 2012 to 2013
City officials are calling for changes to speed up the time it takes to provide various building permits to residents and businesses. It's common for applicants to wait weeks for routine permits, and nearly two dozen applicants waited more than 100 days to receive permit from the city this year, according to city data released to the Portland Press Herald.
