Arthur Randall Jr. feeds some of his cattle at his family's farm on Stroudwater Street in Westbrook. Randall, 75, grew up taking care of cattle with his father and grandfather.

Randall laughs with two of his farm hands as they move some bulls into a new pen. Randall has said no to many developers who have inquired about the land his grandparents bought in 1915.
Randall uses soil that is dug up from other developments around on his land, seen in the background. Farms around him have sold their land off to developers, but Randall has no plans to sell his.
Randall, a third-generation farmer, has seen development crop up all around his Stroudwater Street location.

The road to Randall's house and barn can be seen through his tractor window. The family has owned 160 acres since 1905.
Kevin Brown, at right, helps Randall secure a gate so they can steer bulls into a pen. Brown has been occasionally coming out to the farm and helping Randall for about a year and a half.
