Islamic leaders estimated that more than 3,000 Muslims from Greater Portland gathered for prayer at Fitzpatrick Stadium for the event Thursday. Eid al-Adha is also called the Feast of Sacrifice, as it honors the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son at God's command.
