Program to put local catches on tables gets $750K in federal funds to continue through year
Fishermen Feeding Mainers, a Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association program, secured $750,000 in federal funding by working with Sens. Angus King and Susan Collins to submit appropriation requests. With an initial goal of 100,000 meals, the program has now donated over 1.25 million meals of local seafood to schools and food pantries.
