AUGUSTA — Maine energy officials say home heating oil prices have continued to rise for a second week in a row.

The Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security said today that the statewide average cash price for No. 2 heating oil rose to $2.75 per gallon, up four cents from last week.

The office’s weekly survey found that the heating oil price ranged from a high of $2.97 per gallon in northern Maine to a low of $2.45 a gallon in the southwestern part of the state.

Last week the average price rose three cents from the week before.
