The Kids First Center, which helps children going through separation and divorce, is seeking runners to participate in the Beach to Beacon and commit to raising at least $500. The Boston Red Sox and H.P. Hood are accepting applications to fill 12 open positions for Red Sox Kid Nation captains. Captains serve as liaisons between Kid Nation and Red Sox Nation, providing program ideas and feedback. Each captain receives personalized Red Sox apparel, an invitation to an on-field ceremony, a tour of Fenway Park and tickets to a game, a private meeting with Red Sox staff and ice cream for a year.
