SACO – Louie DiStasio hit a two-run single to tie the game and Cheverus added three unearned runs during a five-run sixth inning Wednesday for a 6-3 victory against Thornton Academy in a Telegram League game.

Kyle Randall and Harry Ridge finished with two hits apiece for Cheverus (4-0), which trailed 3-1 entering the sixth. Jack Bushey added a triple.

Sam Canales of Thornton (3-2) had two hits, two RBI and a run scored.

Ryan Leach also had a pair of hits for the Trojans.

SCARBOROUGH 11, SANFORD 2: Ben Wessel had three hits with four runs scored, and Jacob Rutt added three hits with four RBI for the Red Storm (3-1) against the Redskins (1-3) at Scarborough.

Winning pitcher Andrew Myers tossed a four-hitter with five strikeouts and three walks.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, MARSHWOOD 0: Andrew Richards pitched a six-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks as the Red Riots (3-1) downed the Hawks (1-3) in five innings at South Portland.

Zach Horton and Ryan Curit each drove in two runs, and Evan Indorf had three hits with four runs.

WAYNFLETE 4, SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Charlie Laprade knocked in two runs on three hits, and Alex Hadiaris struck out six with one walk as Waynflete (1-2) defeated Sacopee Valley (0-5) at Portland.

Adam Routes had three hits for the Hawks.

LISBON 13, GEORGES VALLEY 1: Marcus Bubar hit three singles with one RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases to lead the Greyhounds (4-1) over the Buccaneers (2-2) at Thomaston.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, WELLS 6: Caleb Young hit a sacrifice fly to score Brady Lloyd and cap a three-run eighth inning, lifting the Raiders (2-4) over Wells (2-5) at Fryeburg.

Lloyd hit a game-tying two-run double and stole third base.

NYA 7, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Dean Darien hit two doubles with two RBI and scored twice for the Panthers (3-0) against the Seagulls (2-2) at Old Orchard Beach.

Jordan Haskell also had two hits with two RBI and two runs. Allen Brown had two hits and Christopher Leblanc drove in two runs.

FALMOUTH 7, GREELY 5: Matt MacDowell hit a double and a triple to lead the Yachtsmen (4-1) over the Rangers (3-2) at Falmouth.

Brett Emmertz and Nolan Tapley each had two singles and an RBI for Falmouth.

YARMOUTH 9, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3: Campbell Haley gave up three hits and struck out 10 to lead the Clippers (6-0) past the Patriots (0-6) at Gray.

Luke Pierce and Dan Kameisha each had a single, a double and two RBI for Yarmouth.

CAPE ELIZABETH 6, LAKE REGION 1: Kyle Piscopo hit a three-run homer in the first inning and the Capers (6-0) went on to defeat the Lakers (2-3) at Naples.

Danny Place, Josh Robbins and Sam Maker each had two hits for the Lakers. Robbins had the RBI.

YORK 4, POLAND 2: Aaron Moran homered twice as the Wildcats (4-0) topped the Knights (1-5) at York.

Moran hit a solo homer in the fourth inning and a two-run shot in the fifth. Tanner Chase doubled in York’s other run in the third.

WINTHROP 3, BOOTHBAY REGION 2: Tyler Reeve scored the go-ahead run on a single by Travis Sherman during a two-run sixth inning as the Ramblers rallied past the Seahawks (0-5) at Boothbay Harbor.

LACROSSE

GORHAM 13, NOBLE 3: Luc Robitaille had seven goals and an assist to lead the Rams (4-1) over the the Knights (0-5) at Gorham.

Tied 1-1 in the first quarter, the Rams scored 12 of the next 13 goals.

KENNEBUNK 11, MASSABESIC 8: Bobby Kramer scored four goals to lead the Rams (4-1), who scored five unanswered goals in the second quarter, past the Mustangs (2-3) at Waterboro.

Shawn Finn, Nick Gross and Shawn Foley added two goals each for Kennebunk.

WINDHAM 8, BIDDEFORD 7: John Skvorak had five goals and one assist for the Eagles (3-2), who took a 7-3 halftime lead and held off the Tigers (3-3) at Windham.

CHEVERUS 7, BONNY EAGLE 6: Stefano Caiazzo scored in overtime and Peter Dyche finished with four goals to lift the Stags (4-2) over the Scots (3-3) at Portland.

DEERING 9, WESTBROOK 2: Riley Asbury scored four goals to lead the Rams (3-2) over the Blue Blazes (0-5) at Portland.

SCARBOROUGH 6, THORNTON ACADEMY 4: John Wheeler and Matt Mayo scored three goals each to lead the Red Storm (3-2) past the Trojans (1-4) at Saco.

PORTLAND 19, MARSHWOOD 6: Max Pierter had seven goals and two assists as the Bulldogs (5-0) handled the Hawks (0-5) at South Berwick.
