NEW ENGLAND U-19 BOYS: The Power Pigs, a Portland team, took second place in a tournament at Manchester, NH., beating two
Massachusetts high schools before losing 10-0 to Arlington (Mass.) Catholic in the championship game. Portland defeated Marshfield 3-0 in the quarterfinals and Brookline 10-8 in the semifinals. Ian Keith of Portland scored a try late in the semifinal.
PREP SCHOOLS
GIRLS’ LACROSSE: Lindsay Brattan had four goals and an assist to lead Berwick Academy (6-2-2) to a 13-10 win over Hebron Academy at South Berwick.
Sarah Markey scored six times for the Lumberjacks.
