It was hot Tuesday, but not hot enough to break any records in Portland. George Wiseman, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Gray, said Portland reached a high of 87 degrees at the jetport. The record high for the date – 92 degrees – was set in 2007. But it was warmer in other parts of the state. Fryeburg recorded a high temperature of 93 degrees, and Gray hit 90 degrees. Wiseman said it will be warm again today with highs in the 80s. Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the lower 70s. Memorial Day weekend is shaping up to be a nice one. Wiseman said the weekend should be dry and comfortably warm, with no rain forecast until Tuesday.
