Maine Elite Lacrosse is offering a four-team over-30 men’s league on Wednesdays from June 9 to Aug. 11. Games will be one hour of seven-on-seven. The regular season is eight weeks, followed by two weeks of playoffs. June dates will be full-field at 7 and 8 p.m. at Your Space in Gorham. July and August dates will be at 8 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. The deadline to register is today, and the cost is $200. Visit

The Gulf of Maine Ocean Racing Association will hold a regatta Saturday outside Portland Harbor to raise money for SailMaine, a community sailing organization. Each racing boat will be assigned students from SailMaine’s junior, high school and adult programs. Postrace festivities are open to the public. The Maine Association of USA Track and Field will hold its Junior Olympic championships and Region 1 qualifying meet on June 19-20 at Scarborough High. The event will give boys and girls in age groups from 10 and under to 18 a chance to qualify for the Region 1 Junior Olympic championships, to be held June 25-27 at Bowdoin College.
