ALFRED —  The prosecution has rested its case in the murder trial of an Old Orchard Beach woman and her brother.

Darlene George and Jeffrey Williams are accused of the murder of George’s husband, 44-year-old Winston George, on June 20, 2008. The state wrapped up its case today with testimony from Armand Lucier, the lead Maine State Police detective on the case.

The defense lawyers will now have their opportunity to call witnesses. The lawyers have not said whether their clients intend to take the stand.
