MECHANIC FALLS — A Maine volunteer firefighter has been charged with arson in a restaurant fire.
Eighteen-year-old Joshua Michaud of Mechanic Falls was charged Monday after four investigators from the state Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the fire at the Loose Caboose Restaurant in town for seven hours.
The Lewiston Sun Journal reports more than 50 firefighters from eight towns fought the fire that started at the rear wall of the restaurant next to railroad tracks. The building sustained about $30,000 in damage.
No one was hurt.
