HISTORY: EastPoint Christian Church began in March 2006 at the Maine Mall Cinema. After a short stay there, the church relocated to the Sable Oaks Marriott in South Portland for about a year. For the last five years, a former carpet warehouse near the Maine Medical Center Scarborough campus had been EP’s home. On Sept. 12, the church landed near the runway of the Portland Jetport at a newly renovated warehouse at 58 City Line Drive in Portland.
EastPoint tries to keep it simple. Our motto is “Real God. Real People. Real Simple.” The Sunday morning celebrations are intended to be a casual environment where people can come as they are to encounter the God who loves them.
MINISTRIES: EP offers a variety of ministries. Ministries for children from birth through fifth grade are provided during each celebration. These ministries are safe, secure and fun environments for children to interact with others as they take the first steps of their journey with Jesus.
The FUSION student ministry meets on Sunday nights from 6 to 7:30 at the warehouse. Middle school and high school students meet separately for games, snacks, teaching and discussion.
WORSHIP SERVICES: Celebrations are at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
