Westbrook Police uncovered a marijuana growing operation after searching the home of an OUI suspect on Saturday.

Robert Kelley, 45, was arrested Saturday after police conducted a search of his Marrett Street home and recovered just under 5 pounds of marijuana as well as the prescription drugs Suboxone and Clonazepam. Kelley is charged with felony trafficking in scheduled drugs, cultivating marijuana, possession of Schedule W drugs, possession of Schedule Z drugs and violation of conditional release. 

Kelley was arrested for operating under the influence on Thursday and released from Cumberland County Jail with a condition that he submit to searches and tests for drug and alcohol use. 

Westbrook Police made the discovery after searching his home on Saturday.

Officers also searched a wooded area where Kelley allegedly maintained the growing operation. The ongoing investigation may result in additional charges and arrests.
