Fresh paint art auction

Heartwood College of Art and the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust will co-sponsor a fresh paint art auction on Saturday.

Two talks on science

Cornerstones of Science will host two talks this week at Curtis Memorial Library.

From 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Alan Lightman will detail the contributions of 20th-century women scientists. And Katy Payne will give the talk “Elephant Babies in the Forest” from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Jewelry sale for Tedford

The Alfred Shaker Museum, 118 Shaker Hill Road, will offer two classes Saturday

Fiber artist and rug maker Rose Ann Hunter will instruct on making wool-on-wool Christmas ornaments and garland from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a $35 fee. Jeweler Leslie Wind will instruct on how to make bronze or copper wire shawl pins and Christmas ornaments for a fee of $20.

Turtle Trek at Blandings
