ORONO — The CEO of James W. Sewall Co. is the first of four finalists for the top job at the University of Maine to make a visit to the campus.
James Page is visiting Orono on Tuesday and Wednesday to meet with students, faculty, staff and University of Maine System Chancellor Richard Pattenaude. Page will be followed later in the week by Paul Ferguson, Southern Illinois University vice president for academic affairs.
Over the next two weeks, there will be additional visits by Daniel Julius, vice president for academic affairs at the University of Alaska System of Higher Education, and President Donald Farish from Rowan University in New Jersey.
Current UMaine President Robert Kennedy is stepping down in June. The university’s new president will take over the following month.
