Black Mountain of Maine will celebrate its 50th anniversary with free and reduced-price skiing as well as special events today and Sunday. Today there will be free Nordic skiing and a classic-technique citizen race at 11 a.m. Sunday will feature $3 skiing, youth and adult giant slalom races and a family potluck dinner. The Bates College men’s and women’s tennis teams will hold a clinic for players in high school and junior high from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday to benefit the Hogan family of Lisbon, who lost two children in a house fire last week. The teams are asking for a donation of $30 or more. The clinic will be held in Merrill Indoor Gymnasium in Lewiston.
