AUGUSTA — The Legislature’s Appropriations Committee will hold a public hearing today on a proposed continuation of the freeze on state worker pay raises and longevity pay.
The meeting was scheduled to get under way this morning in the State House.
Also today, lawmakers will hear more about a proposed streamlining task force that would be required to find $25 million in savings to help balance the state budget.
This is the fourth week of hearings on Gov. Paul LePage’s $6.1 billion, two year budget. The last day of hearings is March 29.
