AUGUSTA — Business leaders from around the state are gathering at the Maine state capitol to meet with legislators and discuss business issues and priorities that are important to them.

About 250 employers are expected at the Maine State Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Day at the State House event this morning.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon and allows business people to meet and hear from legislators and members of the governor’s cabinet.

Guest speakers include Senate President Kevin Raye and Speaker of the House Robert Nutting, who are Republicans, as well as Senate Democratic Leader Barry Hobbins and House Democratic Leader Emily Cain.
