BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The Portland Pirates are still alive.

Mark Mancari scored two goals and had two assists to lead the Pirates to a 6-2 win against the Binghamton Senators tonight at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena to stave off elimination in their Calder Cup playoff series.

The Senators hold a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven AHL series, which will resume Friday night at the Cumberland County Civic Center. If necessary, Game 7 will be played Saturday night at the Civic Center.

Colin Stuart, Luke Adam, Mark Parrish and Mark Voakes also scored for Portland, which scored on its first two power plays of the game while building a 5-0 lead.

Jim O’Brien and Bobby Butler scored second-period goals for the Senators.

Portland goalie Jhonas Enroth, who rejoined the Pirates last week after spending nearly seven weeks in the NHL with the parent Buffalo Sabres, made 35 saves to notch his first win of the playoffs.
