A golf tournament will be held at Sable Oaks Golf Club on Saturday as a fundraiser for Gorham Odyssey of the Mind, a problem-solving competition for students. It is a four-man scramble with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $65 per person, which includes a cart. The Libby-Mitchell American Legion baseball teams will hold a tryout 5 p.m. Sunday at the Scarborough High School’s Packy McFarland Field. Players wishing to try out should show up with cleats, a glove and a hat. Players need to set aside enough time to fill out a tryout registration form and should also bring their original copy birth certificate.
