CAPE ELIZABETH — Zach Deshaies tied the game with a three-run homer and Louis DiTomasso doubled home the go-ahead runs as Wells scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a 12-10 win over previously undefeated Cape Elizabeth in a Western Maine Conference baseball game Monday at Cape Elizabeth.

Cape Elizabeth (5-1) snapped a 5-5 tie with five runs in the sixth inning, on a two-run single by Kyle Danielson and a three-run homer by Chris Tinsman.

Paul McDonough homered and finished with three hits for Wells (6-2). Patrick Tyler had a home run for Cape Elizabeth.

 

YARMOUTH 4, YORK 2: Dustin McCrossin and Bryce Snyder hit back-to-back two-run singles in the first inning, and the Clippers (6-0) held on to edge the Wildcats (4-3) at Yarmouth.

Chris Lawlor gave up four hits and struck out five in 52/3 innings to earn the win.

York’s Aaron Todd allowed six hits.

 

LAKE REGION 5, FREEPORT 0: Zach Allen pitched a no-hitter for the Lakers (2-5) against the Falcons (1-3) at Naples.

Cody Gibbons had two hits and Alex Hartford added a double.

 

WAYNFLETE 6, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4: The Flyers (4-1) scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to overcome a 4-2 deficit against the Seagulls (3-3) at Portland.

Waynflete didn’t have a hit in the rally, taking advantage of four walks, an error and a hit batter.

Tom Ryan had a two-run single for the Flyers in the first inning, and Charlie Laprade pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits.

Jason Dutton gave Old Orchard Beach a 3-2 lead with a two-run single in the third.

 

GREELY 6, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Jonah Normandeau and Ben Shain combined on a one-hitter to lead the Rangers (7-1) past the Raiders (1-8) at Cumberland.

Normandeau allowed a hit and three walks and struck out six in five innings. Shain struck out four in his two innings. He also had a two-run single in the third.

Liam Maker added an RBI single in the fourth.

 

NYA 9, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4: Jordan Haskell went 3 for 3 and drove in four runs to lead the Panthers (4-1) over the Patriots (3-4) at Yarmouth.

Allen Brown fanned eight, walked four and gave up six hits through six innings to get the win. He also had three hits.

Austin Keenan paced the Patriots with three hits.

FALMOUTH 11, POLAND 0: Grayson Bressi drove in a pair of runs with a single and a double, and the Yachtsmen (4-2) beat the Knights (1-7) in a five-inning game at Poland.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 7, NOBLE 3: Zach Horton went 3 for 4 with two RBI, and Evan Indorf hit a two-run double during a three-run first inning as the Red Riots (5-2) beat the Knights (1-6) at South Portland.

Nick Whitten gave up two runs on four hits while striking out four in 61/3 innings to earn the win.

Devin Coleman hit a two-run double for Noble.

MARSHWOOD 3, SANFORD 0: Ben Claus struck out five and walked four over six scoreless innings as the Hawks (6-1) beat the Redskins (0-7) at Sanford.

Marshwood took the lead in the top of the second when Troy Pappas doubled and scored on a fielder’s choice grounder by Jack Verrill.

Sanford starter Mike Gouin gave up one earned run and struck out eight in six innings.

 

GEORGES VALLEY 6, WINTHROP 4: Drew Townsend and Brandon Knight each hit a two-run homer and Ben Wallace pitched a complete game to lead the Buccaneers (2-3) past the Ramblers (1-3) at Thomaston.

Winthrop got its runs in the seventh inning on two-run homers by Tyler Foster and Ryan Castonguay.

GARDINER 6, ROCKLAND 4: Joe Nelsen had two singles and a double for Rockland (4-3), but the Tigers lost to Gardiner (5-2) at home.

Mike Phelps scored two runs for Gardiner. Jake Palmer and Allen Spencer each added a single and a run scored.

 

ERSKINE ACADEMY 7, MORSE 5: Tom Grady hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Caleb Bragg-Grady added a three-run blast in the fifth as the Eagles (6-2) beat the Windjammers (1-6) at South China.

Aaron Mitchell had a double and a single for Morse.

GORHAM 9, MARSHWOOD 6: Aaron Laporte, Kyle Nielsen and Connor Smith scored two goals apiece to lead the Rams (4-1) past the Hawks (2-3) at Gorham.

LaPorte also had an assist, and Nate Holloran finished with 18 saves for Gorham, which led 6-3 at halftime.

Marshwood was paced by Jeff Hatheway with three goals.

 

DEERING 17, WESTBROOK 4: Noah Whittenberg and Zach Poulin scored five goals apiece to lead the Rams (6-0) over the Blue Blazes (3-4) at Westbrook.

SCARBOROUGH 9, KENNEBUNK 1: Peter Moore scored four goals for the Red Storm (5-1) in a win over the Rams (2-3) at Kennebunk.

Don Blaisdell and Nick Mercer added two goals apiece for the Red Storm, who led 5-0 at halftime.

Max Meserve had the lone Kennebunk goal.

 

MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 9, CAMDEN HILLS 5: Luke Emery scored three goals for Maranacook/Winthrop (4-2) in a victory over the Windjammers (0-6) at Rockport.

Weston Bryant scored twice for Camden Hills. Zach Nelson, Derek Dreschler and Max Mercier had one goal apiece.
