PORTLAND —  A Massachusetts man suspected in a Boston murder was arrested Thursday night.

Nhu Anh Nguyen, 19, of Boston, Mass., was arrested by members of the Maine Violent Offender Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Boston Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Unit.

Nguyen’s arrest in a Cumberland Avenue apartment building followed two days of investigation into his reported presence in Greater Portland.

Nguyen was wanted in the shooting death of a 19-year-old at the Savin Hill MBTA train station in the Dorchester neighborhood.

Nguyen is accused of fatally shooting 19-year-old Derek Matulina, who like Nguyen, is from the Dorchester, on Saturday. Boston police say officers found Matulina suffering from a gunshot would and that he was pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center.

Nguyen was taken into custody without incident, according to the Marshals Service. He was charged as a fugitive from justice and is being held at the Cumberland County jail pending extradition.
