AUGUSTA — The Maine House has voted to repeal the state’s pesticide registry, an online system in which residents can request advance notification of the application of pesticides.

By an 81-68 vote this afternoon, representatives passed an amended version of the bill. It now faces further House and Senate votes.

The amendment directs the state Agriculture Department to refine its rules governing the process for requesting notification of outdoor pesticide applications.
