PORTLAND – Cheverus had six extra-base hits to power its way to a 15-7 victory over Deering in an SMAA baseball game Friday.

Louie DiStasio went 4 for 5 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Nick Lops hit a pair of doubles and a home run and drove in five runs for the Stags (13-1). Harry Ridge added a pair of hits, including a grand slam, and finished with five RBI.

The Rams (11-3) were led by Jamie Ross with two hits, including a two-run homer. 

WELLS 8, CAPE ELIZABETH 4: Paul McDonough hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to help the Warriors (10-5) pull away from the Capers (11-4) at Wells.

Josh Ingalls had a solo homer that gave Wells a 3-1 lead in the second.

Ingalls, McDonough and Louie DiTomasso finished with two hits apiece.

Cape Elizabeth was led by Jack Barber and Chris Tinsman with two hits and one RBI each. 

BONNY EAGLE 11, KENNEBUNK 1: Matt Wheeler hit a two-run triple in the first inning to help Bonny Eagle (4-10) get past Kennebunk (3-12) at Standish.

Evan Amell added a three-run double in the second as the Scots took a 6-0 lead. Wheeler also pitched a five-hitter with one strikeout and two walks. 

BONNY EAGLE 6, SCARBOROUGH 1: Matt Wheeler had four RBI to lead the Scots (5-10) over the Red Storm (10-4) at Scarborough.

Wheeler had two of Bonny Eagle’s three hits — a two-run double and a two-run single.

Tom Hazelton pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts for Bonny Eagle, which was the home team in the makeup game.

Ben Wessel homered for Scarborough. 

FALMOUTH 16, SACOPEE VALLEY 3: Ben Goffin went 4 for 4 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI to power the Yachtsmen (8-6) past the Hawks (0-15) at Falmouth.

Freshman Addison Foltmer pitched a one-hitter, striking out seven.

Brett Emmertz had two hits and two RBI for the Yachtsmen. 

FREEPORT 8, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 5: Luke LaMagna had two doubles to pace visiting Freeport (5-10) to a win over the Seagulls (8-8). 

YORK 6, LAKE REGION 5: Jack Radke drove in four runs to help the Wildcats (8-7) defeat Lake Region (4-11) at York.

Radke belted a three-run homer in the first inning and knocked in another run on a fielder’s choice in the sixth.

Jon Warner had a solo homer in the sixth to help York take a three-run lead before the Lakers scored two in the seventh.

Winning pitcher Chris Cole scattered eight hits and struck out 12. 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 14, BUCKFIELD 4: Jordan Haskell had three RBI on a pair of singles to lead North Yarmouth Academy (11-3) to a win at Yarmouth.

Harry Fast singled home a run in the sixth inning to end the game because of the mercy rule. Ben Coleman pitched a five-hitter and struck out seven. 

LINCOLN ACADEMY 6, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: Brandon Reilly hit a solo home run in the first inning and added a two-run shot in the third to lead the Eagles (11-3) past the Panthers (8-7) at Newcastle.

Merritt Wotton also homered for Lincoln Academy.

Mike Kee had two hits, including an RBI double, for Medomak Valley. 

GEORGES VALLEY 3, WINTHROP 2: Brandon Knight singled home the winning run in the seventh inning as the Buccaneers (5-8) beat the Ramblers (8-6) at Winthrop.

LACROSSE

FALMOUTH 15, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 4: Brendan Mc-Donnell had two goals and four assists to lead Falmouth (10-1) past North Yarmouth Academy (4-7) at Yarmouth.

The Panthers were paced by Finn Hadlock, who had two goals. 

CAPE ELIZABETH 6, YARMOUTH 2: Tim Lavallee had a goal and three assists to pace the Capers (7-2) to a win over the Clippers (6-5) at Yarmouth.
