SEARSPORT — Maine’s education commissioner is wrapping up his 100-day “listening tour” that has taken him around the state visiting schools and meeting with educators, students and parents.
Stephen Bowen is visiting Searsport District High School this morning, the final stop of a tour that that began in March.
After Bowen was sworn in as the new education commissioner, he pledged to visit all nine superintendent regions in his first 100 days on the job to learn more about what’s working in the schools and what can be done to improve the state’s education system.
Bowen is completing his tour in 98 days.
