Coast to Coast Baseball will hold a tryout and hitting camp for players ages 10 to 18 on Saturday at Southern Maine Sports Zone in Saco. Starting at 10 a.m., players will be evaluated on hitting, fielding, speed and arm strength. Players who are accepted into the Coast to Coast program will be able to represent the United States in competition in Puerto Rico, or work with college coaches and professional scouts at one of Coast to Coast’s camp and showcase events held at major league spring training facilities in Florida and Arizona.
The hitting camp begins at 2 p.m. and will aim to help players with hitting fundamentals and mental approach.
Another tryout and hitting camp will be held Sunday at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.
