LEBANON — Two Lebanon men face drug trafficking charges.

Marc Plante, 42, and Peter Provencal, 40, were arrested after Maine Drug Enforcement agents made controlled purchases from each of them on Friday. Agents seized more than 50 grams of cocaine with a street value of $5,000 and about $4,000 in cash, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

Plante had been released from jail last year after serving a sentence for a prior conviction of cocaine trafficking. Upon his release, agents learned he had moved to Lebanon and was living with Provencal at a home on Creamery Hill Road.

Plante was charged with aggravated trafficking and Provencal was charged with trafficking in cocaine. Bail was set at $25,000 for Plante, who is at York County Jail on a probation hold. Provencal was being held on $5,000 bail.
