Elizabeth Peavey and Marguerite Robichaux will be at the Portland Public Library Wednesday to talk about their new book “Glorious Slow Going: Maine Stories of Art, Adventure and Friendship.” The book consists of nine stories about adventures the two friends shared in various Maine locations. Peavey wrote the stories — she’s an author and frequent contributor to Down East magazine — while Robichaux is a painter who illustrated the stories with oil paintings and watercolors. The talk is part of the library’s Brown Bag Lecture Series, so people are invited to bring their lunch.
