PORTLAND — The City of Portland’s Department of Public Services and Healthy Portland, a program of the Health and Human Services Department, will host a public forum tonight to discuss community gardening in the city.
Topics to be discussed at the forum include:
— The goals of the city’s Community Garden Program
— City owned parcels that may be suitable for community gardens
— What the city should do to support community gardens
— What barriers hinder participation in community gardening

Feedback given at the forum will help shape the city’s program for the future.
The forum will be held between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Merrill Auditorium Rehearsal Hall on Myrtle Street.
