NORTH BERWICK — Damian Gibson scored on a passed ball in the seventh inning to end it Tuesday and give Noble a 4-3 victory against Biddeford in a Telegram League baseball game.

Gibson led off the seventh with a single and moved to second on Jacob Emard’s single.

After a sacrifice by David Arlin put runners on second and third, Corey Halliday was intentionally walked and the next pitch went to the backstop.

The Tigers (1-1) scored in the fourth on a single by Corey Collard, and went ahead 3-0 on a two-run single by Nick Leblond in the fifth.

Noble (1-1) scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth following a fielder’s choice by Arlin and a throwing error that scored two.

Halliday struck out six with one walk and allowed two earned runs.

GORHAM 6, DEERING 4: Alex Yankowsky hit RBI singles in the first and fourth innings, and scored twice for Gorham (2-0) at home against Deering (1-1).

Spencer LaPierre and Nick Greatorex brought in runs with sixth-inning groundouts to give Gorham a 6-2 lead before Deering came back with two in the seventh.

Damon Wallace of Gorham allowed seven hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

Jared Bell of Deering drove in two runs with a sacrifice fly and a single.

CHEVERUS 2, WINDHAM 1: Nick Melville reached on an error to lead off the 10th inning and scored on a single by Ryan Casale to lift the Stags (2-0) over the Eagles (1-1) at Windham.

Harry Ridge struck out seven and allowed four hits over nine innings for the Stags. Mitchell Powers pitched a scoreless 10th.

Cody Dube scattered six hits and struck out six batters in nine innings, and Matt McLean had a pair of hits for the Eagles.

 

POLAND 8, YORK 6: Caleb Martin went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run, and allowed one run on two hits over 22/3 innings of relief to lift the Knights (1-2) over the Wildcats (0-2) at Poland.

Kaleb Bridgham added two hits and two RBI, and Tyler Sturtevant, Jake Simard and Jed Quint scored two runs apiece for Poland.

Adam Legg had three hits and two runs for York.

 

MEDOMAK VALLEY 2, BELFAST 0: Isaac Greenrose struck out nine in a three-hitter and Ryan Merrifield hit a two-run double in the sixth inning as the Panthers (2-1) edged the Lions (0-3) at Belfast.

 

THORNTON ACADEMY 11, BONNY EAGLE 1: Jeff Gelinas pitched a two-hitter, and had two hits with two RBI as the Trojans (1-1) handled the Scots (0-2) in six innings at Standish.

Gelinas, who struck out six, hit an RBI single during a five-run first inning and an RBI double during a four-run sixth.

Jack Kenney had two hits, including a triple, and an RBI for Thornton.

 

GREELY 28, LAKE REGION 0: Jonah Normandeau pitched a perfect game with eight strikeouts, and added five hits, four RBI and three runs as the Rangers won a five-inning opener at Naples.

Bailey Train added a three-run homer for Greely, which had 14 batters with a hit.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 7, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Ben Cates struck out six over four shutout innings and Alex Fenderson went 2 for 2 with a two-run double to lead the Hawks (1-1) past the Rangers (1-1) at South Hiram.

Christian Monteambeau had a pair of hits, including a double, for Traip.

 

MASSABESIC 1, KENNEBUNK 0: Hunter Duncan lost a no-hitter when Jason Small singled with two outs in the seventh inning, but got the win as Massabesic (1-1) shut out Kennebunk (0-2) at Waterboro.

Duncan struck out 11 and walked three.

Jake Pelchat hit an RBI single with two outs in the fifth.

MARSHWOOD 10, SANFORD 3: Zach Quintal drove in three runs to pace Marshwood (1-1) at Sanford (1-1).

Quintal had a two-run single and a sacrifice fly. Alex McLean added three hits and one RBI for the Hawks, including a double.

Ethan Gouin hit a two-run single for Sanford.

 

WAYNFLETE 5, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4: Nik Morrill had two hits, an RBI and a save as Waynflete (2-0) held off Old Orchard Beach (0-2) at Portland.

After the Seagulls scored three in the seventh to pull within 5-4. Morrill relieved and retired both batters he faced to end the game.

Starter Joe Schnier pitched 61/3 innings. allowing seven hits and striking out six.

Ryan Carr hit a two-run single in the third, and Quincy Grace doubled twice with an RBI and pitched three scoreless innings for Waynflete.

LACROSSE

WINDHAM 4, NOBLE 1: Damian Cummings scored twice, and Ryan Schweitzer and Cory Schweitzer added one goal apiece to lift the Eagles (1-1) over the Knights (0-3) at Windham.

Jake Guimond scored for Noble.

 

PORTLAND 14, GORHAM 6: Max Pierter scored four goals, and Joe Nielson and Mike Fuller added three apiece as the Bulldogs (2-2) cruised past the Rams (1-3) at Gorham.

Tyler Rankin and Anthony Coppola scored twice each for Gorham.
