MANSFIELD, Conn. — Lincoln Sanborn struck out 10 in a seven-hitter, and St.  Joseph’s scored all its runs in the first two innings Friday afternoon as it stayed alive in the NCAA Division III baseball regionals with a 6-1 victory against Keene State.

Sanborn (7-0), a sophomore from Standish, walked none and allowed just an unearned run as St. Joseph’s (39-6) advanced to another elimination game Friday night against Western New England, a 7-1 winner against Bowdoin.

The Monks struck quickly, taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on an RBI single by Joe Coyne and a double by Mike Pratt.

St. Joseph’s then capitalized on three errors and two walks to score four runs in the second inning, despite only one hit.
