SKOWHEGAN  — Police on Monday confirmed that human remains found Saturday morning on Bennett Avenue were that of Jeff Godin, 42, of Skowhegan.

Deputy Police Chief Dale Lancaster said the Office of Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy today to determine cause and approximate time of death. Lancaster said authorities do not suspect foul play.

Godin was reported missing by his mother on Wednesday. He was last seen in the early morning hours of May 26.
