BIDDEFORD – Abby Maker scored four goals for Cheverus, which pulled away to an 8-2 victory against Biddeford in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolgirl soccer game Wednesday.

Sadie Lyons and Abby Good-rich added two goals apiece for Cheverus (2-0), which led 4-2 at halftime.

Cassie Ellis and Keely Gendron scored for Biddeford (1-1).

MEDOMAK VALLEY 3, MT. VIEW 0: Lexi Genthner collected a pair of goals and Maria Ennamorti scored once to lead the Panthers (1-1) past the Mustangs (0-2) at Waldoboro.

Amanda Hendrickson finished with 10 saves to record the shutout for Medomak Valley and Ashlee Spaulding stopped 10 shots for Mt. View.

PORTLAND 4, NOBLE 1: Oriana Smith, Ashley Frank and Chessa Hoekstra scored in the first 10 minutes to give the Bulldogs (1-1) a 3-0 lead against the Knights (0-2) at North Berwick.

Frank also had an assist. Monica Reno added a second-half goal and Mashale Nabi made six saves.

Hannah Fields scored on a penalty kick for Noble in the second half.

SANFORD 3, GORHAM 1: Caroline L’Heureux had a goal and an assist for Sanford (2-1), which scored three second-half goals to beat the Rams (0-3) at Gorham.

After Evelyn Viernes scored for Gorham in the first half, Emily Salls tied it seven minutes into the second. L’Heureux set up Janelle Cannon’s go-ahead goal less than a minute later.

Taylor Zuk made three saves for the Spartans. Patty Smith had 14 for the Rams.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, KENNEBUNK 0: Haley Da-Graca assisted on two goals and scored another to lead the Trojans (2-0) over the Rams (0-1-1) at Saco.

Courtney O’Brien opened the scoring from 4 yards with 10:33 left in the first half off a cross by DaGraca that deflected off the keeper.

Tori Daigle then scored from 12 yards from DaGraca with 15:32 left in the game, and Da-Graca made it 3-0 a minute later on a free kick from 25 yards.

Kyra Schwartzman finished with 16 saves for Kennebunk.

MASSABESIC 4, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Sierra Arral and Rochelle Morrison notched their first varsity goals for the Mustangs (1-1) against the Red Riots (0-2) at Waterboro.

Hannah Sleight set up Arral’s goal and also assisted Madeline Sanborn. Alyssa Wardwell scored the final goal from Heather Everett.

Gemma Lundrigan made 13 saves for the shutout. Emma Russell stopped 13 shots for South Portland.

SCARBOROUGH 3, MARSHWOOD 0: Ashley Gleason had a goal and an assist for the Red Storm (2-0), who scored three second-half goals against the Hawks (0-1-1) at South Berwick.

Taylor Leborgne and Jessica Meader also scored, and Sydney Martin made four saves for the shutout.

BOYS

MT. VIEW 4, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: Lorenzo Milani scored twice, and John Piotti added a goal and an assist as the Mustangs (2-0) held off the Panthers (0-2) at Thorndike.

Colton Spear and Jonathan Hendrickson-Belloguet scored for Medomak Valley.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 7, A.R. GOULD 0: Kenny Sweetser had three goals and an assist to lead the Breakers (1-1) past the Bears (0-1) at South Portland.

Joe Reed, Andrew Goorhuis, Jean-Pierre Tashamala and Noah Kruzich also scored.

Gabe Olson made 14 saves for A.R. Gould.

YARMOUTH 4, LAKE REGION 0: David Murphy and Thomas Sullivan each collected one goal and one assist as the Clippers (1-0-1) cruised past the Lakers (0-2) at Yarmouth.

Ben Decker opened the scoring on a corner kick from Murphy 24 minutes into the game, and less than 10 minutes later Murphy scored on a header off a cross from Sullivan.

Sullivan and David Clemmer added second-half goals for the Clippers, who outshot the Lakers, 41-0.

Lake Region keeper Pat Irish finished with 23 saves.
