FALMOUTH – Kristina Volta scored for Greely and Julia Spugnardi answered for Falmouth in a 1-1 tie Saturday in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl soccer game.

Volta scored six minutes in for the Rangers (8-3-2) and Spugnardi tied it for the Yachtsmen (9-2-2) seven minutes later.

Caton Beaulieu made nine saves for Greely. Caroline Lucas stopped four shots for Falmouth.

Julia Mitiguy of the Rangers and Alex Bernier of the Yachtsmen had assists.

SACOPEE VALLEY 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Kayla Brown scored three goals as the Hawks (6-4-3) downed the Rangers (2-10-1) at South Hiram.

Courtney Ryan, Olivia Ridley and Ciara Myer also scored for Sacopee; Jade Jordan had two assists and Brooke Totman one. Alli Barrett converted an unassisted goal for the Rangers.

YARMOUTH 2, YORK 0: Tess Merrill broke a scoreless tie with 10 minutes to play in the first half and the Clippers (4-6-4) went on to beat York (7-5-1) at Yarmouth.

Julie Kameisha set up the goal, getting to a corner kick and heading the ball to Merrill, who banged it in off her thigh. Eaven O’Neil added a late goal from Arie Cotter.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, SANFORD 0: Amanda Arnold had two goals and two assists, and Tori Daigle added two goals and one assist as the Golden Trojans (13-0) beat the Spartans (10-3) at Sanford.

Arnold’s second goal was her 23rd of the season — a school record.

FREEPORT 1, POLAND 0: Ashley Richardson beat the goalie to Alyssa Richardson’s pass over the top and sent the ball into the right side of the net with 18:21 left as the Falcons (6-7-1) beat Poland (7-4-2) at Freeport.

Aubrey Pennell made four saves for the shutout.

BUCKFIELD 3, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 0: Ashley Campbell, Dakota Warren and McKayla Darling scored for the Bucks (7-6) against the Lions (0-10) at Portland.

CAPE ELIZABETH 1, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Kathryn Clark scored early in the second half from Addie Wood as the Capers (10-1-1) beat the Patriots (4-6-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

MORSE 4, GARDINER 2: Miracle Trimble scored all four goals as Morse (11-1-1) beat the Tigers (7-6) at Gardiner.

WELLS 2, NORTH YAR-MOUTH ACADEMY 1: Sophie Lamb’s goal with 2:47 left in the second overtime lifted the Warriors (2-10-1) over the Panthers (2-8) at Wells.

SOUTH PORTLAND 1, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Ahmed Suja received a cross from Danny Fox and volleyed the ball into the upper corner with 13 minutes left as the Red Riots (7-3-3) beat Thornton Academy (6-7) at South Portland.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Charlie Laprade scored the only goal of the first half, and Laprade, Omar Khalidi and Maam Fall added second-half goals as Cape Elizabeth (7-5-1) pulled away from the Patriots (6-5-2) at Gray.

BUCKFIELD 4, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 1: Jon Randolph scored twice, and Garrett Hamann and Jesse Warren once each as Buckfield (6-7-1) beat the Lions (6-8) at Portland.

GREELY 1, FALMOUTH 0: Jacob Nason drove the ball into the far corner from a scramble in front as Greely (9-4) beat the Yachtsmen (8-3-2) at Falmouth.

YARMOUTH 2, YORK 1: Max Watson headed in a corner from David Murphy with 10 minutes remaining to lift the Clippers (10-1-3) over the Wildcats (8-3-2) at Yarmouth.

FREEPORT 52, WINTHROP 30: Dan Burke rushed for 204 yards, caught a touchdown pass, ran in a pair of 2-point conversions and had an interception to lead the Falcons (4-3) past the Ramblers (2-5) at Freeport.

MT. BLUE 42, MORSE 13: Jordan Whitney threw five touchdown passes, two to Nate Backus, as the Cougars (7-0) took a 42-7 halftime lead against the Shipbuilders (2-5) at Bath.
