PORTLAND – McAuley High finished a perfect regular season Thursday night, downing South Portland 53-11 in an SMAA schoolgirl basketball game.

The Lions (18-0) will enter the Western Class A tournament as the favorites to win a third consecutive state championship.

Allie Clement scored 14 points to pace the Lions against the Red Riots (12-6). Sarah Clement had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Molly Mack contributed eight rebounds.

YORK 53, WELLS 43: Ruby Cribby scored 22 points as York (16-2) beat the Warriors (7-11) at Wells.

The Wildcats built a 42-31 lead by the end of the third quarter. Wells cut that lead to six with two minutes left, but York was 7 of 7 at the free-throw line in the fourth. Cribby sank four free throws in the fourth and was 7 for 8 in the second half.

Alison Furness led Wells with 16 points.

BOOTHBAY 64, WISCASSET 40: Allison Crocker scored 16 points as the Seahawks (16-2) downed Wiscasset (4-14) at Boothbay Harbor.

Sarah Caron and Abby McLellan contributed 13 points apiece for Boothbay.

Kasey Cromwell led the Wolverines with 13 points.

WAYNFLETE 63, SACOPEE VALLEY 20: Martha Veroneau scored 24 points with five assists and five steals to lead Waynflete (15-3) over Sacopee Valley (8-10) at Portland.

Veroneau scored 14 points in the second quarter to pace a 29-2 run.

Rhiannan Jackson finished with nine rebounds for Waynflete.

CAPE ELIZABETH 41, GREELY 36: Kisa Taberry had 11 points and the Capers (10-8) held off the Rangers (13-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

Montana Braxton added eight points with 10 rebounds, and Marlo Dell’Aquiia scored eight for Cape Elizabeth.

Ashley Storey paced Greely with 13 points.

SCARBOROUGH 58, KENNEBUNK 34: Taylor Leborgne scored 10 of her 12 points in the first quarter as the Red Storm (15-3) took a 22-3 lead and cruised past the Rams (3-15) at Scarborough.

Mary Redmond led Scarbor-ough with 18 points and Ashley Briggs scored 15.

Sarah Bradley paced Kenne-bunk with 11 points.

THORNTON ACADEMY 61, BIDDEFORD 17: Olivia Shaw scored 18 points as the Trojans (11-7) downed the Tigers (4-14) at Biddeford.

Ashley Howe added 10 points for Thornton, which outscored the Tigers 24-4 in the second quarter to open a 38-8 lead.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 57, POLAND 55: Skye Dole scored 26 points for the Raiders (4-14) against Poland (6-12) at Fryeburg.

Fryeburg made 10 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter to get by the Knights, who were led by Emily Bolduc with 21 points.

FALMOUTH 61, YARMOUTH 23: Ally Hickey scored 19 points, all in the first half, as the Yachtsmen (9-9) handled the Clippers (1-17) at Yarmouth.

Ann Hickey chipped in 14 points.

MT. ARARAT 54, BRUNSWICK 20: Mallory Nelson scored 24 points as the Eagles (15-3) handled the Dragons (2-16) at Topsham.

Caitlin LaFountain added 19 points for Mt. Ararat, which used a 16-0 run in the second quarter to take a 30-5 lead.

Lyse Henshaw led the Dragons with seven points.

BONNY EAGLE 50, WINDHAM 41: Samantha Maxfield scored 14 points to lead the Scots (6-12) over the Eagles (9-9) at Standish.

Luisa Sbardella led Windham with 12 points.

TRAIP ACADEMY 51, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 23: Alli Barrett scored 16 points to lead Traip Academy (6-12) over the Panthers (4-13) at Yarmouth.

The Rangers went on a 16-0 run in the second quarter to grab a 25-6 lead.

Hannah Carr paced the Panthers with 13 points.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 23, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 7: Kyrie Austin and Jessica Smith each had six points, and the Lions (12-5) shut out the Seahawks (1-14) 11-0 over the middle quarters at Trenton.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 45, MEDOMAK VALLEY 36: Jennifer Genthner had 11 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles (8-10) defeated the Panthers (5-13) at Newcastle.

Hayden Campbell added nine points with three steals for the Eagles, who opened with an 11-2 run.

GORHAM 52, WESTBROOK 25: Kristin Ross scored 11 points to pace 10 scorers for the Rams (11-7) against the Blue Blazes (2-16) at Gorham.

Ashley Woodbury finished with eight points, Molly Merrifield added seven, and Emily Deluca, Lexi Merrifield, Sarah Plourde and Jessica Rexrode each contributed five for the Rams, who led 24-4 at halftime.

MARSHWOOD 53, NOBLE 34: Megan McLean scored 15 points for the Hawks (9-9), who built a 31-16 halftime lead against the Knights (1-17) at North Berwick.

Hannah Ferguson added eight points, and Joelle Casey, Alli Schoff and Lydia St. Pierre each had five for the Hawks, who closed the first half with an 8-0 run.
