INDIANS 5, ASTROS 4: Mark Reynolds’ seventh homer of the season put Cleveland on top in the seventh inning and the Indians held on at Houston.

Carlos Santana, Drew Stubbs and Yan Gomes also hit solo homers for the Indians.

BLUE JAYS 8, YANKEES 4: J.P. Arencibia hit a two-run homer, Melky Cabrera had three hits and host Toronto rallied past New York.

RAYS 8, ATHLETICS 1: Roberto Hernandez allowed a run in six innings for his first win since he was known as Fausto Carmona, and Tampa Bay completed a three-game sweep of visiting Oakland.

Hernandez, who was arrested in January 2012 in the Dominican Republic on false identity charges, last won with Cleveland in 2011.

RANGERS 11, MARINERS 3: Nelson Cruz hit his fifth career grand slam, one of four home runs for Texas, which completed a three-game sweep of visiting Seattle.

Leonys Martin, Mitch Moreland and Adrian Beltre also homered for the Rangers.

TWINS 5, WHITE SOX 3: Josh Willingham atoned for an earlier misplay with a tiebreaking three-run double in a four-run seventh inning for Minnesota at Chicago.

REDS 10, MARLINS 6: Brandon Phillps drove in the go-ahead run for the second straight day, Joey Votto homered and collected three hits, and Cincinnati won at home for its sixth victory in seven games.

METS 2, NATIONALS 0: John Buck hit his seventh home run of the season, and Dillon Gee pitched three-hit ball for 52/3 innings in his first win of the season for host New York.

GIANTS 5, PADRES 0: Barry Zito and Chad Gaudin combined on a six-hitter, Buster Posey hit his first homer of the season and host San Francisco finished a three-game sweep.

BREWERS 4, CUBS 2: Ryan Braun hit a three-run homer in the fifth, then was ejected three innings later, but host Milwaukee held on for its seventh straight win over Chicago.

PIRATES 4, BRAVES 2: Slumping Clint Barmes hit the tying and go-ahead singles for his first two RBI of the season, lifting Pittsburgh over visiting Atlanta.

DIAMONDBACKS 5, ROCKIES 4: Didi Gregorius hit his second major league home run and singled to start a two-run rally in the ninth that helped Arizona end host Colorado’s eight-game winning streak.

PHILLIES 7, CARDINALS 3: Erik Kratz hit a three-run home run to break the game open in the eighth inning and lead Philadelphia to a win at home.

INTERLEAGUE

DODGERS 7, ORIOLES 4: Mark Ellis drove in three runs as Los Angeles won at Baltimore to snap a six-game losing streak.

Matt Kemp singled in the go-ahead run during the Dodgers’ four-run fifth inning.

INDIANS: Cleveland placed starter Brett Myers on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his right elbow. Fernando Nieve was called up from Triple-A Columbus.
