Standish man, 53, critical after crash, cardiac arrest
A Standish man remained in critical condition Sunday night following an accident Saturday afternoon that forced police to close Ossipee Trail in Limington for three hours, authorities said.
Chief Deputy William L. King Jr. of the York County Sheriff’s Office said a witness told police that a white Chevrolet pickup operated by Michael Grant, 53, left the road around 4 p.m. for no apparent reason.
When police arrived, Grant was talking with rescue workers, but when he left his truck, he went into cardiac arrest, King said.

Struthers set to stand trial next month on DUI charge
Actress Sally Struthers has a trial set for September on a criminal charge of driving under the influence in Maine.
Court records say the 66-year-old Struthers must be present for the trial. The York Weekly newspaper reported that jury selection is scheduled for Sept. 23 in York County Superior Court in Alfred.
Police arrested Struthers on Sept. 12, 2012, in Ogunquit, where she was performing at the Ogunquit Playhouse in the musical “9 to 5.” She has pleaded not guilty.

Documentary about prostitution scandal airs Tuesday
A documentary focusing on the prostitution scandal centered at a Zumba fitness studio in Kennebunk is set to be broadcast on cable TV.
A British production company followed the trials of Mark Strong and Alexis Wright from start to finish, and its one-hour documentary will air Tuesday night on TLC. The documentary includes interviews with a few of Wright’s 100-plus prostitution clients, as well as investigators and lawyers.

Ten Maine airports getting federal grants for upgrades
Ten Maine airports are receiving federal grants for improvements and safety enhancements.
The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $5.1 million in grants to the Bethel Regional Airport, Northern Maine Regional Airport in Presque Isle, the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport, Bangor International Airport and the Greenville Municipal Airport.
Also receiving grants are the Brunswick Executive Airport, the Northern Aroostook Regional Airport, the Dewitt Field-Old Town Municipal Airport, the Wiscasset Airport and the Pittsfield Municipal Airport.
The money will be used for runway improvements, terminal construction and expansion, pavement markings, an environmental impact study.

Events for migrant workers will be held at labor camps
Maine is offering a series of outreach events for migrant workers in the state for the blueberry harvest.
The events will begin at 5 p.m. Monday at Wyman’s labor camp at the C&D Compound in Deblois.
Workers will receive training on how to work safely in the heat. Spanish-speaking investigators from the U.S. Department of Labor will discuss workers’ rights and minimum wage, as well as regulations for water quality and labor camp conditions.
The programs will continue at Cherryfield Foods’ camp in Cherryfield on Tuesday and at Merrill’s Blueberries labor camp in Mariaville on Wednesday.
