If you are looking for a fun location to take your family during this holiday season or are just in search of last-minute grocery or gift items, consider a trip to Pineland Farms.

The Market at Pineland has all of your last-minute needs – local meats, produce, cheese and unique gift ideas. From wooden toy trucks to local craft beers, the Market at Pineland has a vast selection of ideas for everyone on your list.

One exciting gift idea is a Pineland Farms Visitor Seasons Pass. With this pass, a family of four can enjoy unlimited participation in family activities at Pineland as well as unlimited self-guided tours at the Valley Farm. The pass is just $100 and is valid for one year.

In January, Pineland Farms will introduce a new program from our education department. Winter Wednesdays on the Farm is our new family play date. On the last Wednesday of January, February and March, join Pineland Farms as we open our classroom, share some fun, hands-on activities and give children and their caregivers a place to enjoy each other’s company.

Our winter play dates are recommended for ages 2-5 and are $5 per child (adult chaperone/parent required). Pineland Farms continues to offer weekly Monday story hours at the Market and Friday on the Farm every Friday, as well as Chatty Chickens.

Chatty Chickens is our family program focused on all things chicken. Come learn what’s involved in raising chickens and collect eggs while visiting with our organically raised flock of Golden Comet hens.

This program is offered on Jan. 7, 13, 17 and 22. Our family programs are recommended for children ages 3 and up, and are $5 per person. Please call our education department at 650-3031 or visit pinelandfarms.org if you have any questions.

We hope to see you on the farm in 2015!
