BEVERLY, Mass. — Kelly Coleman scored 14 of her career-high 25 points in the second half, rallying the University of New England women’s basketball team to a 55-52 victory over Endicott.
The Nor’easters improve to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Coast while the Gulls drop to 6-3 and 2-1.
Coleman broke a 51-all tie on a layup with 42 seconds left, then sank a pair of free throws with 21 seconds remaining after Endicott got within one.
RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE 72, BOWDOIN 61: The Anchormen (6-4) won in Providence to deal the Polar Bears their first defeat of the season.
Shannon Brady had 25 points and 11 rebounds for Bowdoin (11-1).
COLBY 75, UM-FARMINGTON 64: Mia Diplock netted 17 points and Carylanne Wolfington scored 14 with four 3-pointers and a field goal to lead the Mules (5-7) past UM-Farmington (3-7) in Waterville.
ST. JOSEPH’S 60, WESTERN CONN. STATE 41: Morgan Cahill had 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Monks (7-2) won the opening contest of the WCSU Hat City Classic Tournament in Danbury, Conn.
St. Joseph’s will face Scranton in Sunday’s 4 p.m. title game.
ST. LAWRENCE 68, BATES 59: Allison Cady scored 17 points as the Saints (3-4) held off the Bobcats (6-5) on the first day of the Williams Classic at Williamstown, Mass.
ST. MICHAEL’S 6, SOUTHERN MAINE 3: Kevin Altidor scored twice as the Purple Knights (1-8-1) opened a 5-0 lead over the first two periods en route to their win over Southern Maine (4-6-2) in the consolation game of the Middlebury College Holiday Classic in Vermont.
UNE 5, MORRISVILLE 4: Sean Sullivan returned from an eight-game layoff to score a power-play goal at 1:51 of overtime, lifting the Nor’easters (5-7-1) over the Mustangs (3-8-1) at Biddeford.
Sam Vikich scored twice and David Goff had a goal and three assists for UNE.
BOWDOIN 4, MANHATTANVILLE 1: Colleen Finnerty had a goal and an assist, Jessica Bowen had two assists and the Polar Bears (4-3) handled the Valiants (5-5-1) at Brunswick.
Emily Tang, Maddy Hall and Chelsea MacNeil also scored for Bowdoin. Lan Crofton made 22 saves, allowing only a late goal.
TRINITY 3, USM 0: Lauren Glynn had a goal and an assist while Alexa Pujol stopped 24 shots as the Bantams (4-3-3) blanked the Huskies (6-5) at Hartford, Conn.
COLBY 92, UM-MACHIAS 61: Patrick Stewart scored 20 points and Chris Hudnut finished with 16 points and a game-high seven rebounds as the Mules (6-3) beat UM-Machias (7-5) in Waterville.
Colby, up 51-40 four minutes into the second half, went on a 21-4 run to take a 72-44 lead with 11:58 left.
Sam Willson netted 14 points for Colby. Elias Gutierrez had 19 points for the Clippers.
MISERICORDIA 68, ST. JOSEPH’S 65: Steve Ware drained a jumper and Matt Greene sank two free throws in the final 30 seconds as Misericordia (5-5) held off the Monks (4-5) in Washington, D.C.
The Cougars had used a 20-0 run to take a 50-41 lead midway through the second half. St. Joseph’s still pulled to within 64-63 on Steve Simonds’ 3-pointer with 1:02 left, but could get no closer.
ENDICOTT 103, UNE 95: Kamahl Walker sunk three free throws with 15 seconds left in regulation for the tie, then scored the first eight points of OT to lift the host Gulls (8-2, 2-1 Commonwealth Coast) over the Nor’easters (1-9, 1-2).
Brayden Morse had 26 points and eight boards to pace UNE.
