Conor Ryle scored an unassisted goal at 4:07 of overtime Monday to give Cheverus a 4-3 victory against Portland/Deering in a schoolboy hockey game at the Portland Ice Arena.

Luke Trickey scored for Cheverus (7-4-1) at 3:19 into the first period from Nicholas Noyes before Alex Libby made it 2-0 late in the period from Matt O’Leary and Alex Grant-Roy.

Portland/Deering (3-9-1) tied it with two goals in the second period: Mike Fuller scored at 5:08 from Steve Berry followed by Zach Luce at 7:19 on a power play from Fuller and Berry.

Berry opened the third period with a power-play goal from Luce at 49 seconds and Cheverus tied it at 2:31 when Jean-Claude Lemieux scored from O’Leary.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 50, RICHMOND 49: Isaac LaCroix made a pair of foul shots with 1.6 seconds left to lift the Guardians (10-7) over the Bobcats (9-8) at Richmond.

LaCroix finished with a game-high 23 points, including four 3-pointers, and Logan Archer added 12 points for the Guardians.

Matt Holt paced Richmond with 20 points.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

PINE TREE ACADEMY 75, HIGHVIEW/PENOBSCOT CHRISTIAN 21: Alex Goodman scored 16 points to lead five players in double figures for the Breakers (13-3) against Highview/Penobscot Christian (3-11) at Freeport.

Kim Emerson chipped in 14 points and Rebecca Myshrall scored 12 for the Breakers, who took a 33-2 first-quarter lead.

Reagan Paul led Highview/Penobscot Christian with 17 points.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 50, LISBON 43: Kylie Kemp scored a game-high 20 points with 17 rebounds and four steals to help the Mustangs (11-7) pull away from the Greyhounds (6-12) at Monmouth.

Sidney Wilson added 16 points for Monmouth, which led 30-28 through three quarters.

Adrianna White led Lisbon with 13 points.

 

HALL-DALE 37, WISCASSET 30: Allison Crockett scored 15 points for the Bulldogs (11-7), who built a 25-18 halftime lead and downed the Wolverines (6-12) at Wiscasset.

Kayla Gordon and Briana Goud scored 10 points apiece to lead the Wolverines.

 

MADISON 50, MT. ABRAM 17: Alexandria Jarvais scored 12 points, and Emily McKenney added 10 points and seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (11-6) past the Roadrunners (2-15) at Salem.

Kirstin Wood collected eight assists for the Bulldogs, who led 29-8 at halftime.

 

OAK HILL 48, BOOTHBAY REGION 38: Sadie Goulet scored 13 points and Jamie Prue added 11 for the Raiders (14-4), who took control in the second half against the Seahawks (7-11) at Boothbay Harbor.

Brianna Mulherin chipped in 10 points for Boothbay, which went on a 14-3 run in the third quarter to erase a 23-21 halftime deficit.

Morgan Crocker scored 24 points for Boothbay.

 

RICHMOND 46, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 23: Kelsea Anair had 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Bobcats (8-9) over the Guardians (7-10) at Richmond.

Morgan Harrington added nine points for Richmond. Kylene DeSmith led Seacoast with eight.

 

VALLEY 24, HYDE 22: Kyla White and Hallie Miller each scored five points to lead the Cavaliers (8-9) over the Phoenix (3-14) at Bingham.

Haven Mayhew and Teagan Laweryson each added four points for Valley.
