OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Olivia Ridley scored three goals Friday to lead Sacopee Valley to a 4-0 victory against Old Orchard Beach in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl soccer opener.

Friday was the opening day for high school soccer in southern Maine.

Jade Jordan also scored for the Hawks.

Madison Day and Hannah Manchester combined for eight saves for Sacopee. Tiffany Leclair had nine for Old Orchard.

DEERING 1, CHEVERUS 0: Simone Lauture scored after 29 minutes for visiting Deering at Portland.

Cora Melcher set up the goal, taking the ball 30 yards out and sending a pass through the back four to Lauture, who lined a hard shot from the 12.

Emily Mooney had six saves for the Rams and Hannah Tyson made 10 for Cheverus.

RANGELEY 2, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 0: Michaela Shorey and Blayke Morin scored in the second half, and Sydney Royce needed one save for the Lakers at Salem.

Clarissa Jones stopped 15 shots for Greater Portland Christian.

WINDHAM 10, MCAULEY 0: Jenna Soucy had two goals and an assist at Windham.

Melissa Morton added a pair of goals, and Shannon Valente contributed a goal and an assist. Jordyn Carr and Chelsea Rairdon combined for 25 saves for McAuley.

TRAIP ACADEMY 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Lynn Moore had five saves as the Rangers won at Kittery.

Elora McCuddy scored in the first half, and Emma Auclair and Ellie Batchelder added goals in the second.

GREELY 4, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Ellie Schad, Izzy Hutnak, Kelsey Otley and Maggie Reed scored for the Rangers at Fryeburg.

Maddie Cyr needed two saves to record the shutout for Greely, which led 3-0 at halftime.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 3, MORSE 2: Avae Traina poked the ball home from a scramble in front, breaking a 2-2 tie at Newcastle.

Lillian Bisset scored for Lincoln and also assisted on Chloe Hallowell’s goal. Lauren Pelletier and Sophie Steden answered for Morse.

Miranda Achorn had 12 saves for the Eagles and Amanda Gagne 14 for Morse.

MT. ARARAT 3, MESSALONSKEE 2: Chloe Beattie, Rylee Leech and Nikki Bradstreet scored, and Lauren Williams and Kate Guerin combined for 10 saves for Mt. Ararat at Oakland.

PORTLAND 5, SANFORD 1: Hayleigh Blanchard had two goals, and Kate Johnson and Madison Bolduc added a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs at Sanford.

Blanchard scored both goals unassisted in the second half. Isabel Stehli also scored for Portland.

Taylor Crosby made nine saves for the Bulldogs. Kyla Bragg stopped 31 shots for the Spartans.

SCARBOROUGH 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: The Red Storm scored three goals in the second half at South Portland.

Ashley Perriello and Sam Sparda scored during the run of play and Katherine Kirk added a penalty kick.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, WESTBROOK 0: Katherine Gillespie scored two goals and set up the third for the Golden Trojans at Saco.

After a pass from Emily Harris, Gillespie manuvered around two defenders and chipped a shot over Westbrook goalie Brianna Barlow (14 saves) with 6:47 left in the first half.

Gillespie finished a cross from Tori Daigle eight minutes into the second half for a 2-0 lead before sending a corner kick to Haley DaGraca, who headed it into the lower right corner about 10 minutes later.

Lexi Nason had two saves for Thornton.

CARRABEC 5, WINTHROP 1: Paige Chadbourne had two goals and an assist to lead the Cobras at Winthrop.

Lexie Cowan, Brooklynn Moore and Kilee Nile also scored, and Stephanie Cossaboom had five saves for Carrabec.

Sierra Huff scored and Kennedy Connor had 17 saves for the Ramblers.

ST. DOMINIC 2, HALL-DALE 1: Kristen Connor scored a late unassisted goal to lift the Saints at Farmingdale.

Conner gave St. Dom’s a 1-0 lead in the first half before Thea Sweet tied it early in the second. Olivia Maynard had eight saves for Hall-Dale.

LISBON 3, OAK HILL 2: Deliah Schrieber scored all three goals for the Greyhounds at Wales.

Hannah Nadeau scored both goals for Oak Hill, which led 2-1 at the half.

Jasmine Le had 10 saves for Lisbon. Abby Dodge had five for Oak Hill.

KENNEBUNK 2, FREEPORT 1: Britney Gregoire, open at the far post, swept a cross into the cage with 2:36 left in overtime to lift Kennebunk (1-1) over the Falcons (0-2) at Freeport.

After Dani Foster gave Freeport a 1-0 lead late in the first half, Jackie Murphy countered seven minutes into the second.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Bridget Tweedie had two goals, and Allison Watson, Heather Howard and Nicki Thurston also scored as the Raiders (1-1) beat the Patriots (0-2) at Gray.

Kaylee Walker scored for Morse.

MESSALONSKEE 8, MT. ARARAT 0: Emily Hogan scored five goals to lead Messalonskee (2-0) over Mt. Ararat (0-2) at Oakland.

Ally Turner added a goal and two assists, and Riley Field and Haley Lowell also scored. Shelby French made one save.

Haley Frizzle stopped 22 shots for Mt. Ararat.

OAK HILL 10, HALL-DALE 0: Hayley Marshall scored four goals to lead the Raiders (2-0) over Hall-Dale (0-2) at Farmingdale.

VOLLEYBALL

FALMOUTH 3, KENNEBUNK 0: Leigh Bernardi recorded nine service points, including five aces, as Falmouth won an opener at home, 25-16, 25-19, 25-12.

Megan Tammaro had 60 sets with 18 assists, and Lydia Farmer added 13 attacks with seven kills for the Yachtsmen.

GREELY 3, YARMOUTH 1: Hannah Butland finished with seven aces, two kills and 16 assists, and Kayley Cimino added two aces, five kills and 10 assists for the Rangers in an opener at Cumberland.

Alex Tebbs chipped in four aces and six kills, and Emily Buchanan had one ace and seven kills for Greely.
