Hannah Austin, North Yarmouth Academy senior: Class C runner-up who also finished ninth among 194 girls in the small school division of the Manchester (New Hampshire) Invitational.
Tessa Cassidy, Brunswick junior: Finished 13th overall in Class A after placing fourth in Eastern Maine to help the Dragons win the regional championship. Was the second Maine sophomore at the New England meet.
Malia Cryan, York sophomore: Placed 12th in Class B after finishing eighth in Western Maine. Posted fourth-fastest time for a freshman among all three state meets.
Maddy Doyle, Marshwood senior: Sixth in Class A and in Western Maine Class A. Ninth finisher from Maine at the New England meet with an overall placing of 73rd.
Gabby Johnson, Massabesic senior: Placed third in Western Maine and fifth in Class A to lead the Mustangs to their second consecutive runner-up finish behind Bonny Eagle.
Casey Loring, South Portland junior: Finished eighth in Class A after placing fifth in Western Maine. Finished seventh overall at the Festival of Champions in Belfast.
Kialeigh Marston, Bonny Eagle junior: Defending Class A state champ who also won the Festival of Champions and helped Bonny Eagle win its second straight Class A state title.
Emily Mason, Greely senior: Finished a surprising 11th in Class B, cutting more than a minute off her time the previous week while placing 33rd in Western B.
Anna Slager, Gorham freshman: Placed 25th nationally in a 4K meet in San Antonio in December. Turned in the fastest time of any runner at Thursday’s SMAA Relays at Thornton Academy.
Caitlin Teare, Yarmouth senior: Placed ninth in Class B after finishing fourth in Western Maine. Led Yarmouth to Western Maine Conference Division II title, along with her twin sister Ellie.
BOYS
Michael Aboud, Massabesic senior: Placed third in Western Class A as a junior and second as a sophomore. Missed the state meet last fall because of injury but placed 11th in 2012.
Yahye Hussein, Deering senior: In his second season of cross country, finished ninth in Western Maine and 10th in Class A. During the spring outdoor track season placed fourth in Class A 3200-meter run.
Scott Lambert, Falmouth senior: Finished 13th in Class A after placing eighth in Western Maine. Fourth-fastest underclassman at WMC championships, helping Falmouth earn Division I runner-up.
Mitchell Morris, Cape Elizabeth senior: Capped first season of cross country with eight-place showing in Class B and fastest time, in all three state meets, of any underclassman.
Bryce Murdick, Falmouth senior: Finished fifth in Western Class A to help Falmouth finish second to Scarborough. Placed fourth in Western Maine Conference championships.
Andrew Sholl, Scarborough junior: Finished 16th in Class A and 11th in Western Maine to help Scarborough win the regional title, and finish second at the state and New England meets.
Jesse Southard, Gorham junior: Placed sixth in Class A as well as in Western A. Posted second-fastest time for all Maine sophomores at the three state meets.
Colin Tardiff, Scarborough junior: Runner-up in Western Maine and seventh in Class A. Led Red Storm to regional crown. Top sophomore at the Festival of Champions.
Jacob Terry, Scarborough senior: Was 12th in Class A to help the Red Storm to a runner-up finish and New England berth. Placed fourth in the Western A.
Chandler Vincent, Freeport junior: Placed sixth in Western Maine and 10th in Class B. Only sophomore among the top 15 state meet times, with all three classes considered.
